Composer James Horner, who created the scores for many science fiction films such as Aliens, The Wrath of Khan, Avatar, Apollo 13, Jumanji, and The Amazing Spider-Man, as well as the Oscar-winning score for Titanic, was killed Monday when his small plane went down in a remote area about 60 miles north of Santa Barbara.
