Series Review: Duck Dodgers in the 24th and 1/2 Century

In the interest of furthering our knowledge of animated sci-fi TV series, The Husband picked up the TV series "Duck Dodgers In The 24th and 1/2 Century." We watched the first 3 episodes on the DVD, and already I have a big problem with the format.

The animation is all right, and fairly true to the Chuck Jones style. The voice acting is good enough that I was surprised to find out Daffy and Porky were not done by Mel Blanc. The problem is with Daffy's character.

ORIGINAL SONG: "Kodak Paper" by Mahatma Randy

I've pretty much stopped posting my songs on here because by and large they don't have anything to do with science fiction or space or whatever. This video, however, includes two abandoned real-world spacecraft designs (One for good purposes, the other for eeeeeeeevil ones), and the Flying Sub from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, and a seldom-seen Cylon Centurion variant.  Also the lyrics mention vampires, which is a fantasy thing, which is within the site's purview these days.

Falling Skies: "Pope Breaks Bad" (Season 5, Episode 4)

That's an awful title, isn't it? About as subtle as a meat cleaver. What's ironic is that this episode, one moronic story-telling artifice aside, isn't bad. It does, however, seem to waste time they may not have in this final season.
