That quote from astronaut Scott Kelly, watching from aboard the ISS as yet another cargo rocket exploded shortly after liftoff, pretty much sums it all up.

The unmanned Space-X cargo rocket exploded due to overpressurization about two and a half minutes after lifting off from Cape Canaveral on Sunday.  The rocket was carrying not only supplies to the ISS, but replacements for experiments and equipment lost in two previous failed attempts.

The atronauts aboard the ISS have enough supplies to hold out until October, and several more launches are scheduled between now and then, but it must be a very discouraging day for NASA, Space-X, the private space industry, and rocket enthusiasts around the world.
