I have a big problem with a lot of so-called science documentaries. They're more like info-tainment than the documentaries I remember seeing as a kid, and half the time the "science" is dodgy at best, or just plain wrong.
A friend of mine sent me this link to a Cracked parody of the very sort of documentaries I'm talking about--the ones with random, semi-mystical imagery, an earnest host who whispers the narration in a strained voice, the music designed to get your pulses pounding, and enough total balderdash to screw up your brain forever.
And the "host" is British. Because everyone knows bullshit sounds so much more authentic when spoken with a British accent.
