THINGS WERE DEFINITELY INTERESTED IN: "Source Code" by Duncan Jones

A couple years ago, Zoe Bowie (Better known these days as "Duncan Jones") gave us the excellent "Moon," a clever, tight, psychological film. Costing about a third as much as most other studio SF pictures, it was heralded as the long-overdue return to thinking man's Science Fiction.

We've long been anticipating his next picture, and here's the first trailer

At first glance, it's missing the stark minimalism of Moon, and we're in the well-worn territory of the time loop story, but the thing I find intriguing about him is that he seems to focus on the human cost of these SF conundrums. (Though I base that on little observable information, to be honest)

It's unclear if this picture is set in the same universe as "Moon," though Jones has said he's got a film called "Mute" in mind that overlaps with his earlier film a bit, and has a trilogy in mind that is set in that milieu.

"Source Code" is set for April. Hopefully it'll get a wider release than his first film did.
