WHAT I'M DOIN # 32

I'm three chapters into the new, 6th Hitchiker's Guide book, and I talked to H.E. about the interview, and various publishing options.

Got rid of
1) "Let's Swirl!" by The Swirling Eddies
2) "Star" by Belly
3) "Hot and Spicy Beanburger" by Dread Zeppelin (I never took recreational drugs, but I really have no other way of explaining how I ended up with so many Dread Zep CDs. I don't even remember getting this one)
4) "Coming Down" by Daniel Ash

I think I mentioned that I'm listening to everything in my collection before I get rid of it, and I've certainly mentioned that a lot of this stuff I haven't listened to in 15 to 20 years, in some rare cases, more than that. This has caused a lot of flashbacks, memories associated with the terrible, terrible music, which has been kind of fun.

Ok, the big bohonkin' super-secret project (That I deliberately blew the scret on a week back in 'What I'm doin' by way of a teaser) is done. Now I just need to send it off to the relevant party, get him to sign off on it, make any last-minute revisions contingent upon which he'll sign off, and then schedule it. Ha!

Now, maybe, I can start cranking out some new content for the site (You've no doubt noticed that it's been a little thin of late)

Additionally, today I've discarded
1) "New Times" by the Violent Femmes (Dudes, just break up already!)

So it's been a bit over three weeks since I started this rather pointless feature. Do you folks like it, hate it? Should I continue it? Do you care what CDs I'm getting rid of? If I stopped talking about what CDs I'm getting rid of, would you like it more? What?

Speaking of which, today I got rid of:
1) "Reload" by Tom Jones

I got bifocals today. My first pair. Progressive lenses, making me slightly dizzy until I get used to them.

Today I learned that I hate Microsoft Word 2007. The word on my old computer worked fine, sensible, logical, intuitive. The Word on my new computer is evil, wicked, nasty, and altogether bad for my skin. I hate it with the white hot burning passion of a thousand screaming maniacs. It took me five or six hours just to figure out how to save something on it, and THEN with the assistance of three people. (It should be said that I'm not exactly the shiniest knife in the fountain)
