Jerry Weeks looked out the window. It was raining, both outdoors and in his mood. His wife was yelling at him for the last time. He looked at his watch, given to him by his son as a birthday present some years before he died. It was Saturday, June 26th, 2010. Five-forty PM, exactly.

“Are you even listening to me?” she shrieked.

Welcome to part two - the conclusion - of "Bubba's Burger Barn," a somewhat Dickian comedy that gets vicious in this installment, and might well scare the crap out of you by the end.

Read if you dare.

And if you *don't* dare, no matter. We've got a completely new story beginning next week.

Today we're starting another two-parter, alternately funny and horrifying. This is more-or-less an hommage to Philip K. Dick, and the weird buzz I got from reading his stories as a freshman in college. The books remain, but the buzz never came back. This is kind of my attempt to recreate it. Please do let me know what you think.

In the fast moving teaser, Lois is comatose from the Clark kiss, kidnapped by Tess and strapped into a convenient but oh-so-implausible memory viewer machine. We see her memories of the future- a desolate Metropolis, a large black Kryptonian with powers and a Red Sun…

And Clark's 'S' shield T-Shirt, hanging from a flagpole… tattered and waving in the breeze…

Gee, that was good and dense. How 'bout the rest of the episode?
After the jump....

EPISODE REVIEW: Lost: “Follow the Leader” (Season 5, Episode 15)

There’s a curious feeling that things are getting better and better in 2007, and worse and worse in 1977, a feeling that while Locke may be on the edge of saving the world in the present (or close to the present), Jack and company are on the edge of destroying not only the world, but time itself thirty years before. It’s uneasy, and I have to think deliberately off-balance. As usual, there’s more going on here than anyone is telling, but here’s what we do know:

In 1977:

I've been scooped by someone who types much faster than I do! I think that "Burt Cottage" (If that IS his real name) is secretly an alien typist at the vanguard of a host of aliens with incredible clerical skills!

Clark decides to come out of the spandex closet and reveal himself (no, not THAT way) to the world, before hitting the reset button (or in this case, a Legion Time Travel ring) and making all the bad stuff go away.

For an episode with a built in reset button, this episode actually advanced Clark's journey considerably.
