REALSPACE: Bigelow Aerospace's Inflatable Space Stations

Bigelow Aerospace is a company that has been interested in space stations for quite a while now. Back in Space-X days, they started pitching a pretty clever idea for large stations launched on small rockets. Last year they issued a brochure (!) explaining the basic concept. Check it out:

Happy October, everybody. Last month I told you about how NASA screwed the USAF out of their super-cool X-20 project, in the process setting back hypersonic research by a decade, and condemning themselves to use their halfassed space shuttle for a generation. This was not the last time NASA went crying to mama (Congress) to complain about their mean older brother.

Perhaps it's wrong to judge our outlook based on Youtube, but I have to suspect that what people put on there shows what people are thinking about, and if it doesn't exist on there already, they make it. If this is true, than a colossal failure of vision in our society is indicated by the near-total lack of stuff about Space Colonies on there, and in daily discussion. Click through to learn/see more.
