Smallville

TV REVIEW: Smallville: Requiem

The long nightmare is over. Clark is now permanently separated from Lana and I can finally sleep(I hope)....

Lana and Clark start the episode proving that no-one short of Wonder Woman can sleep with Kal-El. But their unwedded bliss is short- someone has made an attempt on Oliver Queen's life using a toy loaded with kryptonite-laced explosives.

TV(non)Review:Smallville:Bulletproof

I'd love to say I loved this episode.
But thanks to technical and logistic problems, I can't.
Our CW affiliate had sound issues, and the closed captioning appeared and disappeared so fast that even I, Evelyn Woods graduate that I am, could not read the dialog.

  • I think the Martian Manhunter was shot
  • I think that they introduced Dan Turpin into the Smallville universe. (Ironic, since Darkseid possessed him in the Comics, and now he's worm-food. Does this mean we'll see Darkseid next season?)

The Republibots have called in sick, so... tonight: Smallville!

sysadmin 2.0's picture

Well, Republibots 1.0, 3.0 and 36-24-36 are all down with the crud today, so that means I get to talk about what I want to talk about.... and I've chosen Smallville!

I like superheroes, even though technically not Science Fiction (I don't care if they put scientific trappings around a superhero, it's still fantasy...), they do have redeeming qualities. The stories, at their best, reflect nobility, responsibility and virtue. At their worst, they are.... well, dreadful, honestly.

Smallville is frequently both.
