TV REVIEW: LOST: "The Lie" (Season 5 episode 2)

Tonight's cavalcade of Lost-related whimsey continues with a super-secret bonus episode that I didn't even know was coming. (I've been distracted lately). What's better than a season premier of Lost? Getting an unexpected bonus episode immediately afterwards! Ka-Ching! If you want to read a review of the season premier, you can do that here http://www.republibot.com/content/tv-review-lost-because-you-left but I'm going to assume you've already done that and just move on here.

TV REVIEW: LOST: "Because You Left"

The amazing thing, for me, is that Lost always manages to hit the ground running. On the face of it, the show would seem to have a lot of strikes against it - massive cast and plot erosion, an incomprehensible storyline, deliberately fractured storytelling, a sprawling cast that changes at a whim, shrinking season episode orders, not to mention the fact that after four years, we still don't really know what the heck is going on.

TV REVIEW: LOST SEASON PREMIER (kindof)

Okay- they threw a lot at us, and I'm still struggling to process it all, and I'm tired beyond belief so this is going to be quick-

Everybody is unstuck in time (which isn't as fun as it sounds), those who stayed on the island are struggling to survive, those off the island are struggling to survive, the Oceanic Six's web of lies is contracting around them, Ben may be at least partially less evil than anticipated and death is apparently a good career move, if you don't mind being toted in the back of a carpet van.
