Episode Review: CHUCK: "Chuck vs. the Tic Tac" (Season 3, episode 9)

Open to a jungle setting somewhere in 1989.  A young soldier named Alex Calhoun is being told he won't make the elite ranger team and that he's being shipped back to his old unit.  Before he can even make it to the car, he is greeted by a shadowy Stargate-looking guy who recruits him into an ultra-secretive, ultra-patriotic group and changes his name to ... [spoilers galore!]

Episode Review: CHUCK: "Chuck vs. the Nacho Sampler" (Season 3, Episode 6)

Now that he’s a “real spy” Chuck has to start acting like one.  He’s assigned to take befriend a nerdy computer genius (but I repeat myself) who appears to have reverse engineered a copy of the intersect.  This is a problem for Chuck because he—unlike Casey—genuinely likes people and doesn’t like faking friendship.  Once he gets to know the young man, the friendship isn’t faked, but …

EPISODE REVIEW: Chuck: "Chuck vs. First Class" (Season 3, Episode 5)

[Warning: I write this review while sitting slope-side in Colorado, so I can't guarantee my ability to stay focused.]

Chuck got his first solo mission this past Monday night, much to the objection of Sarah and Casey.  But Shaw was determined to send Chuck on this mission and see if he had the makings of a "real" agent.

Episode Review: CHUCK: "Chuck vs. the Angel de le Muerte" (Season 3, episode 3)

or "Chuck vs. the Angel of Death"

Moving back to its regular day and timeslot, “Chuck”’s pseudo-premiere (or, second premiere in as many days) was the best new “Chuck” of the season.

We start off with a fairly gratuitous scene of Awesome and Ellie’s first encounter, then flash to the present where Ellie is lamenting that, since getting married, they’ve become a boring couple. On top of that, her brother—who was supposed to come hook up their new TV—didn’t show (and has been missing a lot of family get-togethers lately, it seems).

Chuck vs. the Three Words

To kick off the third season of "Chuck", NBC ran two episodes back-to-back. In the second episode, we learn that the reason Chuck ran out on his chance to be with Sarah was because he loved her. If that doesn’t make sense, wait. I may explain later (but, probably not).

EPISODE REVIEW: Chuck: "Chuck vs. the Pink Slip"(Season 3,Episode 1)

Chuck vs. the Pink Slip

Suddenly, Chuck is back and he’s on a mission. But he’s suave and composed and, when he flashes, he kicks some bad-guy booty. But then, the escape falls flat because Chuck, we learn, can make himself flash. It only happens by accident. And then, it turns out this wasn't a real mission, but an elaborate training exercise.

So began the first episode of the third season of NBC’s “Chuck”.

TV REVIEW: "Chuck": Chuck vs. the Predator

This was a funny episode and a fun one to watch, and while its story line was basically wrapped up within the episode, I got the feeling that its main purpose was to set up some stuff for later on.

Computers near Chuck start to talk to him. And they seem to know when he’s alone. When he replies, the entity on the other end of the ether claims to be Orion, the original inventor of the Intersect and—Chuck believes—the person most likely to be able to get the Intersect out of Chuck’s head.
