EPISODE REVIEW: GI Joe Renegades: “Shipwrecked” (Episode 16)

Republibot 3.0's picture

The show ended up getting preempted last week for crazy reasons, and I missed it when they finally deigned to show it. This is unlike the Hub, they’re generally so thoughtful of their viewers, but I’ll just take this as a one time thing, particularly as they re-aired the ep this week for the benefit of dopes like me.

And, hey, guess what: It’s a really good episode!

EPISODE REVIEW: Stargate Universe: “Common Descent” (Season 2, Episode 17)

Firstly, let me apologize for the late review. Syfy once again shows their contempt for their viewers by randomly changing their schedule without any advance warning. (Advance warning in this case should probably be them knocking on my door, or at least calling, since I’m kind of inattentive) I had to stay up to watch the rebroadcast.

Secondly let me once again bemoan the death of this show, and take yet another stab at Syfy’s contempt for their audience (saying it twice gives it emphasis!). Seriously: This show has gotten pretty freakin’ good in the past few weeks.

EPISODE REVIEW: Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: “Ben 10,000 Returns” (Season 2, Episode 10)

Once upon a time there was a show called “Ben 10,” which ended. This was followed by a really weak live action made-for-TV movie called “Ben 10: Race Against Time,” in which a one-shot villain named “Eon” did a bunch of stuff, and was defeated. It had Lee Majors in it, but apart from that….well, really even with that, it’s not terribly remarkable.

EPISODE REVIEW: Batman The Brave And The Bold: "Joker: The Vile and the Villainous" (Season 3, Episode 2)

Before I start my review, I’d like to start out by saying hi to everyone here. For the time being, I’m taking over Republibot 3.0’s job of reviewing Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Generator Rex. Being a big fan of the former (and really just anything involving Batman in general. You know, unless it sucks), I was actually quite happy to take up reviewing this show. But enough about me geeking-out about Batman, time to get reviewing.

EPISODE REVIEW: Stargate Universe: “The Hunt” (Season 2, Episode 16)

Just four episodes left until the third consecutive “Unending” of a Stargate series; and quite probably the last one for quite a while as well.

A landing party is contemplating killing some space deer. It’s been 10 months since anyone’s had any meat. Greer and Scott go, but Greer can’t take the shot. A six-legged Cat/Bear thing attacks and injures a whole bunch of people, and drags off TJ and a redshirt.

EPISODE REVIEW: Sym-Bionic Titan: “A New Beginning” (Episode 20, Series Finale)

...And so it ends, not with a whimper, but with a bang. Granted, this isn’t the end anyone had wanted, but it is at least a solid end to the chapter before Cartoon Network decided to throw the rest of the novel away unread. If you haven’t been following the discussions on our site, the show has been cancelled, despite really strong ratings. The die was apparently cast about a month ago, rather abruptly, mid-week when they yanked it off the Monday Night schedule, and burned off the unaired episodes in the show’s own rerun spot on Saturday Mornings.
