Episode Review: LOST:"What Kate Does" (Season 6, Episode 3)

sysadmin 2.0's picture

Lost settles into its final season with a Kate and Claire centric episode.  This review will be a bit less spoiler-y than my reviews have been in the past.  Please bear with us a bit while we settle back into a routine- I will try to take a bird's eye view of the issues raised in a particular episode and how they fit thematically, while R3 will do whatever it is he does.

So, after the jump... I spend precious little time with 'What Kate Does' and focus on what it might mean...

EPISODE REVIEW:BATMAN;The Brave and The Bold:"A Bat Divided!" (Season 2, Episode 8)

It's been a little while since we've seen a bona fide origin story on this show- usually a good thing, because origins tend to be dreadful, honestly. Does B:TBATB manage to dodge the bullet this time, or are we in for a Firestorm of controversy?

EPISODE REVIEW: Batman:The Brave and the Bold: Revenge of the Reach (Season 2, Episode 3)

Okay, I'm sorry. I got to this one late... but as usual, Cartoon Network isn't fantastic about letting people know when their new shows are airing. That, and they are obviously more enamored of the Marvel Super Hero Squad, which (for the record) stinks like roadkill on ice. OH! It's awful, and that's not just because I prefer DC.

Anyway- a few of my favorite characters, and a team we've not seen in a long time...

Episode Review: FlashForward:"A561984"(Season 1, Episode 10)

Well, the season has hit a halfway point of sorts and we get a fall finale. As usual, the show serves up answers hot and heavy before we have a chance to really think about the questions. There's an answer for everything! Except:
"Was it any good?"

Sorry, friends. That's a road you must go down alone.
OR you could join me for a recap after the jump...

Episode Review: Smallville: Pandora

In the fast moving teaser, Lois is comatose from the Clark kiss, kidnapped by Tess and strapped into a convenient but oh-so-implausible memory viewer machine. We see her memories of the future- a desolate Metropolis, a large black Kryptonian with powers and a Red Sun…

And Clark's 'S' shield T-Shirt, hanging from a flagpole… tattered and waving in the breeze…

Gee, that was good and dense. How 'bout the rest of the episode?
After the jump....

"Better brace ourselves... this could be deeply disturbing."- Batman

Catwoman and the Psycho Pirate!
I wonder if Batman shows up for his own show THIS week.
No musical numbers this week, so I declare it safe for Republibot 3.0---

It was inevitable with Blackest Night and the coming Zombie Apocalypso that Clark Kent and company would become involved in the war.... what 28 months later... after the initial zombie craze.

Let's see if Kal-El and Co. bring anything new to the party
