Another pretty solid episode.

Rex awakes in a creepy abandoned town, Greenville, Ohio, which disappeared several years before. He’s in a school with lots of deformed toys, and the town itself is no better, with detritus stacked everywhere, and levitating in the mist.

Meanwhile, Dr. Holiday has Breach in custody, strapped down, and is firing probes into her to try to figure out where Rex is. Whenever one gets close, it disappears, and ends up somewhere on earth. One gets through to Rex, but is promptly ejected again, without them being able to figure out where it is.

Sorry to be so late on this review. I was getting snacks during the first commercial break of this episode last night, and spilled grape juice all over the stairs. I had to clean that up, and missed the rest of the episode.

Argit, the weird, conniving little Porcupine/Rat/Weasel alien boy thing that occasionally runs scams with Kevin, is now running a protection racket: If the Forever Knights will give him $100,000/month, he’ll see to it that their castles don’t fall down. They refuse to pay, and, of course the castles do fall.

I think this is my new favorite cartoon. There’s just a lot to like here. The voice acting is good, the music is generally above average, Six is cool, and there’s just a really neat visual style that has a signature different from any other Warners show on the air.

We start out with the normal teaser dustup with an evo, but *not* our normal voiceover from Rex explaining the premise of the show. Doc Holiday warns Rex that he’s overloaded with Nanites, and can’t take any more on, but he does it anyway, and basically metal bits start growing out of him as he collapses in pain.

I'm having trouble concentrating tonight, and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids, a cartoon that no one but me remembers, keeps flooding through my head for some reason. In light of this, I took a lot of notes while watching the show. Normally I don't do this, normally I just trust my memory and my amazing powers of seeing stuff that probably isn't there, which might be subtext and clues, or it might just not be there.
