EPISODE REVIEW: No Ordinary Family: "No Ordinary Marriage" (Season 1, Episode 2)

Recalling fondly the travails of trying to figure out how to fly on "Greatest American Hero", Jim Powell tries to figure out how to use his super-strength and near-invulnerability to stop oncoming cars. The results are pretty funny, as his friend, Deputy D.A. George continually runs him down in a beat-up old car. It's not often you see the hero's body flopping around under smoking tires used for humorous affect on TV, but it worked.

When last we saw Chuck Bartowski, his recently deceased (maybe, people have a way of coming back on “Chuck”) father had left him with a mission: to find his mother (who, it turns out, is Sarah Connor, which means Chuck is actually ... never mind). He begins this season by enlisting uber-spy Morgan Grimes in this quest, a task for which Morgan is more than ready—or so he says.

Vampires Beware!

Last week, a woman in Fruita, Colorado (official motto: “No, we’re not that frozen drink at Taco Bell”), was in a one car wreck caused by, she told authorities, a vampire. According to the woman—who didn’t want her identity published, for reasons I’m sure we can all understand—she was just driving home when suddenly there was a vampire, right in the middle of the road.
