Humans have sought a universal library for centuries. Before it burned down, the library of Alexandria was the first and probably best attempt at housing the world’s books in one place. Scholars have estimated that the library contained between 30 to 70% of the scrolls at the time, a percentage that no library since then has come close to replicating.

Robot Avatars for Fun and Profit (But Mostly Profit)

I hate commuting. It's bad enough that I have to spend 8 hours a day at a job when I'd rather be home writing, reading, watching a movie, or drinking a beer, but on top of that I have to spend 40 minutes to 2 hours a day sitting in a car, which means I'm really spending 9-10 hours at work.

TECHNOLOGY: Print Your Food

I love to eat.  I even like cooking, although I don't do enough of it because it can be time consuming, and you have to clean and do dishes afterwards.  I've always been impressed by Star Trek's dining hall where Kirk and Spock punch in any type of food they want into a computer and a tray immediately slides out with the meal of their choice.

MOVIE REVIEW: "Superman/Shazam! The Return of Black Adam" (2010)

The title of this DVD is misleading because instead of primarily being a Superman-Shazam teamup, it's actually a collection of four DC showcase animated shorts about Captain Marvel, The Spectre, Green Arrow, and Jonah Hex. These mini-features show 2nd-tier DC characters in their own adventures, an interesting idea that DC will hopefully show us more of.
